More than 210,700 people attended the record-breaking event, providing maximum e x p o s u r e f o r WA I Australia to the avia- tion industry. The or- ganizers of the event, Airshows Down Un- der, ver y generous- ly donated the trade show b oot h to ou r chapter and also pro- vided the use of the Fr iday n ig ht venue and facilities for our even i n g re cept ion. We appreciated Air- shows Down Under's generosit y, a nd t he support of our corpo- rate members and sponsors that assisted with funding needed to host the Friday night evening reception, which highlighted women within the industry. Our message was to communicate that gender diversity is not about companies meeting their quota numbers on a spreadsheet, but about inclusion, acceptance, and equal opportunities. W i t h m o r e t h a n 100 guests and VIPs from all spectr ums of the aviation sec- tor, the Friday night re cept ion went of f without a hitch. So much so that many guests found it diffi- cult to leave! Guests were treated to deli- c iou s c a napés a nd refreshments through - out t he n ig ht, w it h many taking the op- portunity to network with all the guests. The guest speakers, from various aviation fields, engaged the audience with their thoughts on women within the industry and what actions are helping to facilitate the shift in perceptions and initiate change within the industry. Our chapter wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our corporate members for their support during the week, and to the event's generous sponsors: Boeing Flight Services Australia, Panorama Airways, Agile Aviation, UNSW, and Air- shows Down Under. ✈ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
