Development committee chair Linda Markham said that the Endowment Fund is diversified and growing. WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian out- lined all the new programs in place at the 2017 conference and detailed some new membership benefits, including a Vista - print discount on business cards. She also highlighted the launch of the new #IamWAI marketing campaign noting while about 65 percent of members are pilots, the total 13,500 membership also includes engineers, mechanics, manag- ers, and more. "We thought it was a good time to get the message out through so- cial media of how diverse we are in both age and profession," Peggy added. Recruitment and growth are definite- ly priorities for the board members, as outlined in the Education Report by Lau- ren McFarland , as well as the Scholarship & Awards and Membership Committee reports by Deborah Hecker and Abing- don Mullin , respectively. Governance chair Brian Bolt invited WAI members to meet and mingle with the board mem- bers during a special Saturday morning session at the conference. "We want to meet you and hear from you. We want to take this to the next generation of change," he said. ✈ Attendees were invited to bring their ideas and questions to the WAI board of directors during a Meet and Mingle session on Saturday, March 4.
