Each of the stations created a day of fun and exploration for the participants. The girls were given tours of the airport and learned about various aspects of aviation. They also had the op- portunity to mingle with the airport staff and WAI members. New Delhi saw the culmi- nation of Girls in Aviation Day with a grand celebration. Ap- proximately 200 National Cadet Corps representatives attend- ed the event, as well as a few underprivileged students who were exposed to various avia- tion professions. Held at the Delhi Flying Club, the girls were also able to experience a simulator. The platform was also used to launch a special booklet called "Aviation Jobs," designed to provide informa- tion on various aviation job profiles. The booklet was unveiled and launched by the Airport Authority of India chairman. ✈ MILE HIGH CHAPTER During our October 2017 meeting, we hosted Craig Thighe , a local DPE, instructor, and jet captain as our speaker.
