A very successful Girls in Aviation Day Orlando with more
than 200 young people also helped to promote the mar-
keting campaign with their own slogan of I am the Future
of Aviation. The girls also took part in a variety of hands-
on activities, including some hosted by the Association
of Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM), which cel-
ebrated its 20th anniversary during the conference. Aer-
obatic champion Patty Wagstaff shared her adventures
with the attendees as a luncheon speaker.
