34 AviationforWomen M A Y / J U N E 2 0 1 8 Girls in AviaƟon Day Reno 2018 MARCH 22-24 2018 Reno WAI 2018 More than 200 young people, ages 8-17, enjoyed a full day of activity stations and a college fair with a career panel high- lighting a variety of aviation and aerospace paths. The girls took advantage of the positive role models and asked lots of questions! Shaesta Waiz, the lunch keynote speaker, shared her story of flying around the world solo to inspire and em- power girls and women to pur- sue STEM-related careers. To finish up the day, the girls had a fun scavenger hunt in the ex- hibit hall.
