The weather was perfect, without a cloud in the sky, as members along with a few new faces enjoyed a won- derful potluck dinner and wonderful company. ✈ MILE HIGH CHAPTER On Saturday, May 21, Denver's Mile High Chap- ter held a chapter barbecue/meet and greet hosted by Independence Aviation (IA) at KBJC. Chapter members and guests enjoyed good food, played games, and had a prize raffle, and Colorado Heli ops, IA's hangar neighbor even let guests try out its Robinson R22 helicopter sim- ulator. Some of the prizes raffled off included one of local photographer Jay Dixon's framed photos, an I Am Amelia Earhart children's book by Brad Meltzer, one hour of Cirrus simulator instruction donated by IA, and more. ✈ Trimbi Szabo testing out the Robinson R22 helicopter simulator. ST. LOUIS WOMEN WITH WINGS CHAPTER The St. Louis Women With Wings Chapter's first Creve Coeur Plane Wash was a complete success. The chapter cleaned 14 airplanes (dirty underbellies too!) and raised nearly $2,000 for the chapter scholarship fund. The chapter hopes to dupli- cate the success on September 10, when the next plane wash fundraiser will take place in Mount Vernon, Illinois (KMVN). ✈ STARS OF THE NORTH CHAPTER/LARRY GRACE PHOTOGRAPHY WOMEN WITH WINGS CHAPTER MILE HIGH CHAPTER
