T he 2016 WAI annual membership meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Con- vention Center. At that time two board members will be elected to serve for a three-year term on the WAI board of directors. The following is the slate of candidates approved during the fall 2015 board meetings. Members may vote in person during the annual membership meeting or can submit proxy voting permissions in the members only section at www.WAI.org. Linda Markham Linda A. Markham, WAI 56283, is pres- i de n t a n d c h ie f administrative of- ficer of Cape Air a n d N a n t u c k e t Airlines, and has prev iou sly he ld titles of executive v ic e p r e s ide n t / chief administra- tive offcer, vice president of human re- sources, director of human resources, and manager of human resources. Upon her a r r iva l at Cape A i r, t he company employed approximately 300 people and served 17 cities. Cape Air now employs more t ha n 1,200 peo- ple and serves 44 cities in six regions around the world. During her tenure at Cape Air, Linda created a full-service Human Resources department includ- ing benefits, payroll, employee rela- tions, labor relations, recruiting, and employee travel. Linda graduated from Holyoke Com- munity College with a degree in busi- ness and retail management. She is also a certifed facilitative leader. Lauren McFarland Lauren McFarland, WAI 45015, is direc- tor of advertising for the Aircraft Elec- tronics Association. In addition, she is responsible for advertising sales of Avi- onics News, the association's monthly m a g a z i n e , a n d AEA's annual Pi- lot's Guide to Avi- o n i c s. S h e a l s o manages the AEA Ambassador Pro- gram, which en- courages stronger professiona l re - lationships between AEA repair station members and FAA Flight Standards Dis- trict Offces. A resident of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Lauren earned her bachelor's degree in fne arts from the University of Missouri.
